What to Expect

Sevilla should remain compact in a 4-2-3-1 before attacking the spaces behind Barcelona's full-backs. Lucien Agoume and Youssouf Fofana can protect the centre, allowing Miguel Sierra, Jon Guridi and Thierry Correia to support Isaac Romero.

Ruben Vargas and Arouna Sangante are unavailable, but Garcia Plaza is otherwise expected to retain the core of the side that beat Deportivo. Romero could replace Lucas Stassin as the central striker.

Barcelona should make several changes after Wednesday's demanding victory. Pau Cubarsi, Xavi Espart, Fermin Lopez and Anthony Gordon are pushing to start, while Joan Garcia's knee issue could give Wojciech Szczesny his first league start of the campaign.

Predicted Lineups

Sevilla (4-2-3-1)
Vlachodimos; Sanchez, Castrin, Salas, Suazo; Agoume, Fofana; Sierra, Guridi, Correia; Romero

Barcelona (4-3-3)
Szczesny; Eric Garcia, Cubarsi, Martin, Espart; Fermin Lopez, Rodri, Pedri; Yamal, Raphinha, Gordon

Players to Watch

Miguel Sierra - The 22-year-old is Sevilla's leading league scorer and provides direct running from the right. His movement into central areas can test Espart and create space for Romero.

Isaac Romero - Romero can give Sevilla greater intensity and mobility through the middle. His willingness to press Barcelona's centre-backs will be important if the hosts are to disrupt their buildup.

Raphinha - Barcelona's captain has registered 11 goals and three assists in seven appearances. His hat-trick against Racing demonstrated the movement and finishing that make him difficult to contain as a central forward.

Lamine Yamal - Yamal has eight goals and four assists this season. His one-on-one ability and combinations with Pedri should repeatedly test Sevilla's left side.

Prediction

Prediction: Barcelona to win and over 3.5 goals @ 2.20

Sevilla's strong start should make this a more competitive contest than Barcelona's recent fixtures, but the visitors' attacking output remains overwhelming. Flick's team have scored at least five goals in five of their seven matches and arrive after league victories by 4-2 and 7-2.

Sevilla beat Barcelona 4-1 at this venue last season, while the reverse meeting ended 5-2 to the Catalans. The hosts can contribute again, but Yamal, Raphinha and Gordon should exploit the spaces that appear as Sevilla chase the game. A 4-1 Barcelona victory is the preferred scoreline.
