PSG vs Bayern Munich Prediction, Lineups, Betting Tips & Odds | UEFA Champions League 2025-26

The holders against the champions. The Parc des Princes against the team that has won seven consecutive Champions League games. The most expensive squad ever assembled against the most complete team in European football this season.

This is the one everyone wanted.

PSG dismantled Chelsea and Liverpool back to back, scoring twelve goals across four games, keeping three consecutive clean sheets, and winning each of those four matches by two goals or more. They have been ruthless, clinical, and at times genuinely frightening in the way a defending champion should be.

Bayern, meanwhile, have won seven straight Champions League games. All seven. They came back from 3-0 down against Real Madrid to win the quarter-final. They have scored in nineteen consecutive Champions League matches. Their manager is suspended for Tuesday after picking up his third yellow card of the tournament. They are walking into the Parc des Princes on the longest winning run of any team in this competition and they beat PSG here in November.

In November. At the Parc des Princes. 2-1.

This is not going to be a quiet Tuesday evening in Paris.

What to Expect

PSG are at home, in form, and defending a European title with the kind of conviction that suggests they genuinely believe nobody can stop them right now. Enrique's system is built around controlled aggression — Hakimi bombing forward on the right, Kvaratskhelia and Doue causing chaos from wide areas, and Dembele as the most unpredictable forward in the competition. The midfield of Ruiz, Zaire-Emery and Neves gives them physicality, creativity and defensive cover simultaneously. The concern is Vitinha, who is not fully fit after his heel injury and whose absence as the midfield metronome changes PSG's rhythm significantly. Three consecutive clean sheets is the number Bayern's attacking players will be thinking about — and trying to end — from the first minute.

Bayern arrive without Kompany on the touchline, without Gnabry and Bischof, and with a squad that has been running on adrenaline since that extraordinary comeback against Real Madrid. But what a squad. Kane leads the line aiming to score in a sixth consecutive Champions League game, Musiala is the most technically gifted player on the pitch, Olise and Diaz provide unstoppable width, and Kimmich and Upamecano return after being rested. Both teams have scored in every single one of Bayern's last seven away Champions League trips. That trend has held against teams better than PSG's recent opponents and it will be tested most severely on Tuesday. Bayern's head-to-head record against PSG is remarkable — five wins from their last six meetings — and the confidence that comes from beating Real Madrid in the manner they did is the most dangerous energy in European football right now.

Predicted Lineups

PSG (4-3-3) 🔴🔵 Safonov; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Ruiz, Zaire-Emery, Neves; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia

Bayern Munich (4-2-3-1) 🔴⚪ Neuer; Stanisic, Upamecano, Tah, Laimer; Pavlovic, Kimmich; Olise, Musiala, Diaz; Kane

Players to Watch

Kvicha Kvaratskhelia — The Georgian winger has been PSG's most devastating attacking weapon all season and the player who changes games in a single moment. Stanisic at right back against Kvaratskhelia on the left is one of the most mouth-watering individual battles in European football right now. If he gets into rhythm, PSG's attack becomes genuinely unplayable.

Ousmane Dembele — Back at his former club's ground and playing with a freedom and confidence that looked impossible during his difficult Barcelona years. Four Champions League goals this season and the man PSG trust most in big moments. His movement between the lines and unpredictability with the ball gives Bayern's backline a problem they cannot solve with defensive positioning alone.

Jamal Musiala — The most technically gifted player in this Bayern squad and the one most likely to unlock PSG's defensive structure in tight spaces. PSG have kept three clean sheets but they have not faced anyone with Musiala's combination of close control, pace and decision-making. If he gets between PSG's midfield and defence consistently, Bayern create chances. Simple as that.

Harry Kane — Fifty-three goals this season. Aiming for a sixth consecutive Champions League game on the scoresheet. And facing a PSG defence that has been excellent recently but which has never faced a centre forward of Kane's combination of physical presence, technical quality and intelligent movement. One chance in the penalty area is all he needs.

Prediction

PSG to win: 2.41

Bayern Munich to win: 2.81

Draw: 2.40

Over 2.5 Goals: 1.49

Prediction: PSG 2-2 Bayern Munich

The data makes this almost inevitable. Both teams scored in all seven of Bayern's recent away Champions League games. Bayern have gone over 2.5 goals in all seven of those trips. PSG have scored at least twice in six consecutive Champions League matches. PSG's three clean sheets came against Liverpool and Chelsea, neither of whom have Bayern's firepower through Kane, Musiala, Olise and Diaz. The head-to-head favours Bayern heavily and their form coming into this match is arguably the most impressive of any team in European football this season. But PSG at the Parc des Princes, defending champions, in front of their own crowd, are not going to roll over. Kvaratskhelia and Dembele will create problems Bayern's defence has to solve. A high-scoring, breathtaking draw sets up what should be one of the great second legs in the Allianz Arena.
