Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Prediction, Lineups, Betting Tips & Odds | Premier League 2026-27

Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur meet at the City Ground on Saturday with both clubs still searching for their first Premier League victory of the season.

Forest recovered from consecutive home defeats to earn a 2-2 draw at Liverpool, twice leading through Dan Ndoye and Morgan Gibbs-White before being pegged back. Oliver Glasner now returns to Nottingham seeking his first competitive win since replacing Vitor Pereira.

Tottenham arrive under greater pressure after losing 3-0 at Brentford and 2-0 at home to Newcastle. Roberto De Zerbi's side are the first Spurs team in the Premier League era to lose their opening two matches without scoring, despite an expensive summer rebuild.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham: Key Stats

  • Tottenham have lost their opening two league matches without scoring for the first time in the Premier League era

  • Spurs have conceded five goals across those two defeats

  • Forest have won four consecutive Premier League meetings with Tottenham

  • The Tricky Trees have kept three clean sheets during that four-match winning sequence

  • Forest have won only one of their last 12 Premier League home matches

What to Expect

Forest should retain Glasner's 3-4-2-1 shape and attack the spaces created by Tottenham's possession game. New signing Daniel Munoz is a natural option at right wing-back, while Morgan Gibbs-White and Dan Ndoye can receive behind Spurs' midfield and support Igor Jesus.

Liam Delap offers a more physical alternative at centre-forward after completing his move from Chelsea. Nicolo Savona remains sidelined, while Ibrahim Sangare is doubtful with a calf problem. If Sangare misses out, Xaver Schlager and James McAtee should continue in central midfield.

Spurs are likely to restore Savio if he passes a fitness test, but deadline-day arrivals Mykhailo Mudryk and Tosin Adarabioyo may begin on the bench. Mohammed Kudus has only recently returned, while Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons are out. De Zerbi needs quicker circulation around Forest's compact block and more penalty-area presence from Omar Marmoush.

Predicted Lineups

Nottingham Forest (3-4-2-1)
Sels; Milenkovic, Cunha, Murillo; Munoz, Schlager, McAtee, Williams; Gibbs-White, Ndoye; Jesus

Tottenham Hotspur (4-2-3-1)
Kinsky; Gray, Van Hecke, Van de Ven, Robertson; Tonali, Bentancur; Savio, Fernandes, Tel; Marmoush

Players to Watch

Morgan Gibbs-White - Forest's captain scored from the spot at Anfield and has been involved in 17 Premier League goals during 2026. His movement between midfield and attack can expose the spaces around Tottenham's double pivot.

Daniel Munoz - The Colombian reunites with Glasner after joining from Crystal Palace. His energy, aggressive runs and penalty-area instincts can immediately strengthen Forest's right side.

Sandro Tonali - Tottenham need their record signing to dictate the rhythm and resist Forest's pressure. His passing range can release the wide players before the hosts settle into their defensive shape.

Omar Marmoush - With Spurs still waiting for a league goal, Marmoush must provide greater movement and conviction inside the box. His pace also gives De Zerbi a direct route beyond Forest's back three.

Prediction

Prediction: Nottingham Forest to win @ 2.50

Forest's home record is a concern, but their display at Anfield offered far more encouragement than Tottenham's opening two league performances. Glasner's transition-based approach is well suited to attacking a Spurs side that must commit players forward and has already conceded five times.

The recent head-to-head record is decisive: Forest have won four consecutive league meetings and kept three clean sheets in that sequence. Tottenham's new attackers may improve their threat, but limited cohesion and a continuing injury list favour the hosts. A 2-1 Nottingham Forest victory is the preferred scoreline.
