Lazio vs AC Milan Prediction, Lineups, Betting Tips & Odds | Serie A 2026-27

Serie A's only remaining perfect record will be tested when Lazio welcome unbeaten AC Milan to the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday evening.

Gennaro Gattuso's side have responded to an early Coppa Italia elimination with three consecutive league victories. Lazio most recently recovered from a goal down to defeat Udinese 2-1 through Davide Frattesi and debutant Albert Gudmundsson.

Milan collected seven points from their opening three fixtures under Ruben Amorim, but conceded a stoppage-time equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Juventus. The Rossoneri remain unbeaten despite producing only three shots and 0.11 expected goals in Turin.

Lazio vs AC Milan: Key Stats

What to Expect

Lazio should retain their balanced 4-3-3, pressing selectively before attacking through Mattia Zaccagni and Matteo Cancellieri. Frattesi's late runs give Gattuso an additional penalty-area threat around Andrea Pinamonti, who has returned to training after an ankle scare.

Reda Belahyane and Kenneth Taylor must prevent Luka Modric and Yunus Musah from controlling the centre. Patric, Adam Marusic, Nicolo Rovella and Danilo Cataldi remain unavailable, while new signing Diogo Leite strengthens the hosts' defensive options.

Milan are expected to continue with Amorim's back three and wing-backs. Adrien Rabiot and Alphadjo Cisse can support Goncalo Ramos, while Samuel Chukwueze and Pervis Estupinan provide width. Mattia Gabbia is absent and Mario Gila may have to play through a persistent knee problem.

Predicted Lineups

Lazio (4-3-3)
Mandas; Mussolini, Doekhi, Provstgaard, Tavares; Frattesi, Belahyane, Taylor; Cancellieri, Pinamonti, Zaccagni

AC Milan (3-4-2-1)
Maignan; Gila, De Winter, Pavlovic; Chukwueze, Modric, Musah, Estupinan; Rabiot, Cisse; Goncalo Ramos

Players to Watch

Davide Frattesi - The midfielder has scored in all three league matches since joining Lazio. His timing, energy and willingness to attack the box have made him the decisive player in Gattuso's encouraging start.

Mattia Zaccagni - Lazio's captain provides their main creative threat from the left. His movement inside can overload Milan's back three, while his combinations with Nuno Tavares will test Samuel Chukwueze defensively.

Alphadjo Cisse - The 19-year-old has scored away to Torino and Juventus, strengthening his claim for another start. His direct running and composure offer Milan a transition threat behind Lazio's advancing full-backs.

Goncalo Ramos - Milan need more involvement from their central striker after creating little at Juventus. Ramos must occupy Lazio's centre-backs, link play with Rabiot and Cisse and convert the limited chances that arrive.

Prediction

Prediction: Lazio to win @ 3.40

Milan's unbeaten start explains their status as favourites, but the underlying performance in Turin was unconvincing. Amorim's side generated only 0.11 expected goals and scored from their only shot on target before conceding a deserved late equaliser.

Lazio have won all three league games, conceded only once and beaten Milan in three of the last four meetings, including twice at the Olimpico last season. Their greater midfield momentum and attractive home price make the hosts the value selection. A 2-1 Lazio victory is the preferred scoreline.
