Chelsea vs Wolves: Maresca’s Men Host Winless Wolves — Can Stamford Bridge Stay Unbroken? | Premier League 2025-26 Preview & Prediction

Saturday night at Stamford Bridge brings 2 teams in very different moods. Chelsea returns home after a long midweek trip to Azerbaijan, while Wolves arrive without a manager and without a win this season.

The Blues were held 2-2 by Qarabag on Wednesday, a result that left them frustrated after a sloppy defensive showing. Estevao and Garnacho both scored, but Enzo Maresca’s men missed a chance to secure their place in the Champions League last 16.

In the league, Chelsea have been inconsistent, 3 wins and 3 defeats in their last 6 matches, yet remain difficult to beat. Their 1-0 win over Tottenham last weekend, thanks to Joao Pedro’s strike, was a reminder of their potential. That result lifted them to 7th place, level on points with Manchester United.

Wolves, on the other hand, are in real trouble. Vitor Pereira’s sacking came after a 3-0 defeat to Fulham, their 4th straight loss in all competitions. They sit at the bottom of the table, 8 points from safety, and are without a league win in 14 matches.

Under-21 coach James Collins and Under-18 boss Richard Walker are leading the team for now, hoping to spark some pride at Stamford Bridge. This is going to cracker!

🔹 Enzo Fernandez: Keeps Chelsea ticking; his composure will be vital against Wolves’ press.

Odds Market on MSport

💵 Chelsea to win: 1.38
💵 Wolves to win: 7.50
💵 Draw: 4.60
💵 Over 2.5 Goals: 1.55
💵 Joao Pedro Anytime Goalscorer: 3.20

Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 32 home games in all competitions and will expect that streak to continue. Wolves are winless, managerless, and short on belief; the contrast could hardly be sharper. Unless the Old Gold pull off something extraordinary, this should be another comfortable night for Enzo Maresca’s men.

💰Prediction: Chelsea 3–0 Wolves
